Important Editorial Information
In order for things to run smoothly we have jotted down a quick information guide so that you may understand some of our traditional policies regarding press releases. Manila Headline, Inc. receives hundreds of Press Release requests daily. It is hard to accommodate all press releases and is not guaranteed that we will be able to run your story. However, if you would like your Press Release to have a chance to be published, you must follow a few guidlines.
The meaning of Press Release?
A press release is a written or recorded communication directed at members of the news media for purpose of announcing something newsworthy. Typically, they are e-mailed or faxed to assignment editors at newspapers, magazines or television networks.
Format requirements?
- articles must be short around 300-400 words
- Single or Double-Spaced
- must be written clearly and addressed to the correct person or department
- Must have a return address of who created the press release. All of the contact information is needed
- The date the release will be ran or the expiration date of the article or story.
- Must be able to open either in text software such as microsoft office, notepad, wordpad.
- Press-Release Articles which run like an adfile should be sent in Adobe PDF or JPG formats ONLY.
Printing Deadlines
We usually allow material to run if it is submitted atleast 5 days before the printing schedule. For ready artwork adfiles, we allow you to send it to us within 3 days of the printing schedule.
Due to the amount of time it takes to edit, publish and circulate within each week, we are very strict on our deadline policies. We will not be able to print any material that is not submitted to us within the deadline. In order to place a PR or an AD, please allow a lot of time for us to prepare your work.
By following these easy steps, you will be able to make Press release requests and will get all the information out to our readers in no time.
